Our Fullstory account will show sessions across pages, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to see the duration that users are active after visiting a specific page. So after login, I’d like to see the average length of time a user is active. I can’t find this in my dashboards or figure it out in metrics, any help would be very appreciated!
@everyone - Very Good Morning! I would like to know does user id changes when the page url changes in FS. In my customer journey, I was planning to see the same user id on the order confirmation page as they were in cart page. For instance, if user id 12345 was in cart page and bought the product then I was expecting to see the same user id in both the page urls however it is not the case. Could you please guide.

Hello,I am trying to set up FS to capture only freshly signed-up users. Our website and product is set under the same domain, there is no subdomain. The user lands on a /sign-up page, then passes and onboarding where each step is another subpage and finally lands on the product at the /home subpage but signed-up.The problem is that we have 10million users per week but I only want to study the ones signing up fresh.I thought of putting FS only at the subpages I am interested in but still the /home page is seen by both fresh users and existing ones which are millions. Is there a way to capture only the users that have previously passed by the sign-up process and exclude all the rest?
Can I capture data by a specific domain url string? I see how to filter by sub domain (ie. app.example.com), but I want to filter by url string, such that I capture data for numbers 2, 3, and 5 (in example below), but don’t capture data on our staging and test environments1. example.com/version-test/____,2. example.com/m____,3. example.com/version-live____,4. example.com/version-uifixes____,5. example.com/_____etc.
Hello,I’m trying to look at my funnel for sign ups and the trouble that I’m facing is once a visitor creates an account, their replay stops. I can find the remaining session but it’s under a different user. It seems that the visitors and users aren’t being connected. Therefore, I can’t get accurate statistics for the funnel. I’ve attached examples of the two separate users. Is there something we can do to stitch these users together and watch their journeys all the way through the funnel?
Hi there,When implementing custom events for a specific product, is there a QA/Staging environment within FullStory that they can be sent to for QA before they are ready for being sent to the main project? In other product analytics tools like Mixpanel and Amplitude, you are encouraged to create a project specifically for event data QA. This prevents potentially bad data from getting mixed with production-ready data. Does FullStory offer something similar?
Hello friends,I’m familiar with using CSS selectors to define named elements. My question is about how to handle scenarios where the CSS selector for an element changes. Let’s say I have a button for playing a video and it has a specific CSS selector, which I’ve used to create a Defined Event that is in several of my Metric and Funnel reports. Now the button’s appearance and position changes - but its function remains the same - so the CSS selector is changed as well. What’s the best way to address this situation while maintaining continuity in all my existing reports?
I have a webpage with 30+ anchor links that leads to a pdf file. All anchor links share the same class, and I’m not entirely sure how to track each one separately. The only unique identifier I can immediately think off are the href in each anchor link -- but they all lead to a .pdf page. How would I track these links separately when they have similar classes? I’m basically trying to see which files/links are clicked the most, within Fullstory. Thanks!
