A Quick Question About Alerts

Hello everyone,

We've been testing the alerts with a use case:

We have couple of buttons that creates an upsell opportunity. We wanted to be alerted whenever that event happens. However, I believe that with Alerts, we'll just getting informed for the first event (if we set the threshold greater than 0).

Is there any chance to make it for the all events going on?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @baris! Thanks for reaching out!

I can see our awesome support team is also helping you out with this question! In case we have any other Community members with a similar question, I’ll share the answer here too:

The Alerts feature has been designed to notify users when a segment goes above or below a threshold number, so it would not be suitable to use to notify your team every time a button was clicked. It may be worth speaking to your development team to see if there is the possibility of using FS.event with a Webhook (there is also more information on this page).

You’re in good hands with the team from here, but please don’t hesitate to reach back out should you have any other questions! 😊

@baris I was just working on this with another clients: Alerts should not be thought of as “real-time notifications” - to set that up, you’ll (as @lindsay mentioned) want to build some custom API. Hope that helps!
