Question

How to do Delete an API Defined Event

I’ve been trying to delete API defined events that we no longer used, some were created by developers or employees no longer in the company. The closest I can get is to archive them, but archiving them still shows them as a search result

Anyone know how to delete these events, or at the very least prevent them from showing up as an event ?

Hey @Sgomez! Thanks so much for reaching out!

Deleting these types of events requires help from our FullStory Engineering team. I’ve gone ahead and submitted a support ticket on your behalf where you can continue the conversation to fulfill this request. 😊

In the meantime, you can archive all the custom events you don’t want anymore and have an Admin confirm you’d like these deleted, or, you can provide them with a list of the ones you need.

Our team will be getting in touch with you shortly! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Lindsay, Although I have archived some events we no longer use they come up while filters for others. which is why I would much rather delete them.

Hey @Sgomez! No problem!

That makes perfect sense. Our team will be able to help you get those deleted. 😊

Hey @lindsay  - I have encountered the same issue and it would be great if users can delete independently.

Hey @Niva Dukler! I have submitted this request to support who will be able to help you from there. 😊

I hear that, and understand the desire to have users delete independently. If you wish, you can select the hand icon at the top righthand corner of your FullStory account and submit this feedback to our product team.
