Question

How to identify click-scroll, particularly on mobile

Seeing a lot of dead clicks on some sites, and noticing that most of the time, it’s someone clicking and dragging to scroll the page. Happens on both mobile and desktop, but obviously more prominent on mobile sites.

Has anyone figured out a reliable method of identifying when this is happening, so it can be named/prevented from flagging as a dead click?

Hey @rcadden! Thanks so much for reaching out! 😊

We categorize dead clicks as a click on a page that doesn’t have any effect, with that there can be some instances of false positives like what you’re experiencing. One solution is to ignore a false positive dead click by adding a fs-ignore-dead-clicks class on this element in the future, or add this rule in-app. You can read more about ignoring dead clicks here.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
