Click vs Enter key
I’m trying to find out the number of events difference between clicks and hitting the Enter key when customers interact with our Buy button.You can either use your mouse and click the buy button after entering a quantity, or enter a quantity and hit enter on your keyboard.Is there a way to find out?
Multiple scrolling events
In FS we can measure how far down the page users would scroll, but I was wondering if it is possible to measure when users scroll up/down multiple times? On recordings often times I see users scrolling the page down and up multiple times and I’d like to know how frequent that happens.
Heatmaps - Avoiding header & footer
Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to prevent the header and footer of a page(s) to be measured by a heatmap so I can only measure the content of the page.We know our header and navigation links get the most clicks by far so often times many of the 25 elements the Heatmap can detect are in the header and footer, so I wonder if it is possible to ignore those elements and just measure the page content?
Is there a way to pick the metric for a dashboard card from the dashboard itself?
After the FullStory UI update I’m struggling a bit to create and edit dashboards. I’m hoping I’m missing a trick and someone can point me in the right direction. 😃What I want to do, and was able to do previously, is create a card on a dashboard and then select an existing metric to use on the card. This doesn’t seem to be possible as to use an existing metric I have to go to the metric itself and then edit the date range etc. and add it to the dashboard.Similarly I used to be able to duplicate an existing card on a dashboard and then change the individual card to pick a different metric or segment. Now when I duplicate a card it appears to also create a duplicate of the metric and I also can’t change the card to use a different, existing, metric.This also does make me wonder, if I update the segment, dimensions, or date range for a metric to add it to a dashboard, does this change the properties for other locations where the metric is used?
User Journey By IP address
I currently don’t see a way to create a Journey based on IP address….maybe in the future? We have different types of customers and we are trying to understand the journey of someone conducting research for parts vs. someone that has a list of parts and knows what is looking for. They would have different behaviors and they would go to different parts of the site. Understanding their unique journey and identifying friction points would be very helpful to us.
Issue using [id^=a] to target ID "starting with"
I have a page that has a table and on each row we have a button. We have 25 row so each ID is different. Something like this:button#plusMoreImagesText_1button#plusMoreImagesText_2 …..etc.I was trying to capture click events on the button regardless of which one was clicked using the “starts with ID” format...like this:[id^=plusMoreImagesText_]which I have used it before, but for some reason this time is not working….and I wonder if that’s becase the element is a <button> and not a <a> tag.Is that right, or something is wrong with the format. I’ve also tried this just in case:[id^=”plusMoreImagesText_”]but also didn’t work.
How to capture changes on dynamic text?
I have a text number that changes depending how many checkboxes the user checked.Since this text doesn’t really changes the DOM, is there any way to detect the number? I’m thinking about using a dimensionality card that can eventually show me how often users select ‘x’ number of checkboxes.
How to find out if a toggle was clicked ON or OFF?
I have several toggles that I’d like to know when they get turn on or off. I created a new element attribute since the <input> has an aria-checked which is false or true depending the interaction. I’m thinking I should be able to find out if the toggle on a specific area returns true or false….am I right in doing something like this?I’m not 100% sure about the rules….
How to target a page that is the result of a keyword search?
When customers perform a keyword search on the site, the URL could be something like this: www.awesome-site.com/c/?q=BabyYoda If I want to find pages that are the result of a keyword search I know I can name the page and use a wildcard to “collect” those pages. Would this wildcard be the right format to collect that type of URL? */c or would I need to do something like */c/?q* I have the * at the beginning because we have different domains so I want to make sure I gathered those pages as well
Find click events on filters that required horizontal scrolling to be viewed
We have some pages where like this one were there are many filters that depending your browser window may required you to scroll horizontally to the right in order to see the rest. I’m trying to find out two things:Are the filters that customers use the most within the first 5-7? What percentage of customers use filters that are beyond those first 5 or 7?The super tricky part is that filters are different depending the categories, the number of filters vary, but I could narrow down the search to only the top category. Meaning URL’s that only start at the second tier level /c/**
Find the number of orders per month
I’m trying to find the number of orders placed in a month by users that are logged out vs those that are logged in. I have segments created for each of those two groups but not sure the events I have are correct. This is what I have for the logged in (Signed up) segment. Would that give me the number of orders? or the revenue? I’m not sure since the “order completed” event has 3 events firing
See multiple elements clicked in one use session
Hey, I am looking to check if a user has clicked two check boxes in the same session.For example in this screenshot. I am able to get back all the numbers for each one separately, but I want to see if a user has clicked 2 of these in one user session. Anyone done this before? (Note I dont want to add the two between multiple user sessions). Thanks! :)
Trend Card and Comparing Multiple User Segments
I created a trend card in my dashboard and I’m trying to compare trends between two user segments.Segment “Click a 360 image thumbnail” Segment “Click a 360 image thumbnail inside a ModalMy question is after adding these segments from the compare users dropdown, what event filters should I use? For Metric is have Events, and for Event I have Any activity. is that how it should be setup?
How to use a single metric card to show events ONLY when a watch element is present on the page?
A question that I haven’t been able to find the answer is when you need to track a click event only when an element is present on the page. How do you do that in a single metric card?I have the following segment, which includes the watched element and the click event. So I’d like to know how many times that event happens. I have a single metric card, but I can only do one event….do I select “Any Activity” or do I need to add any of the events from my flow? My Segment and the single metric card never match regardless of what I put on the single card so this leads me to not trust what I see in FS. because I can’t tell what is right or wrong.

How to create a segment that shows an event occurring multiple times?
Let’s say you have a redirect event that redirects the user and let’s say multiple redirect events within the same session are not good. How would I create a segment that gives me all sessions where this event occurs more than and including 2 times?
Watched Element Problem
I’m creating a funnel where the final step is just a watched element (to confirm something was displayed on the screen) - but the watched element is not working.
