I have a NEXT.JS url page with URL as such “…/search/[some_id]”, how can I mask/exclude capturing the [some_id] part of the URL?

Hey @ehong123 I’m not sure if that’s something that is supported within FullStory, but you might want to reach out to support@fullstory.com (or click the ✋ icon in the top right of FullStory) and inquire with them. Some activities that aren’t in the FullStory UI are available with the Support Team. Best of luck!

Hey @ehong123! Thanks for reaching out! 😊

@stevenshyne is correct- whilst we do block some common query parameters by default, when you have any additional parameters you would like to redact, you can raise these requests to Support, and our Engineering will action this for you. Thanks for your input @stevenshyne!

I took a look and saw that you’ve already submitted a ticket and are currently working with our support team on this! 👍

Please don’t hesitate to reach out should you have any other questions!

Hey @ehong123 and @stevenshyne,

Just wanted to let you know that we have recently released a new tool that allows you to prevent unwanted or sensitive data within captured URLs from reaching your FullStory instance. They’re called URL Component Privacy Rules, and you can read more about how to access and use this feature here in our Knowledge Base.

Thanks!
