Hi there!I’ve built a funnel and am using the “Median Time To Convert” to look at funnel completion time. However, the number being given is a lot lower than I expected, even when looking at completions between many sessions instead of just one. So I wanted to clarify how this metric is calculated: For each user, does it measure the time spent in the product between the two events, or time elapsed between the two events? For example:My funnel is between “Page Viewed” and “Order Completed. I trigger “Page Viewed” today at 4pm, then browse for an additional 10 minutes. I don’t use the product til the tomorrow when I browse for 20 minutes then trigger “Order Completed” at 4pm. Is my conversion time in this scenario calculated as 30 minutes (10 + 20) or 1 day (4pm tomorrow - 4pm today)?
Hello!I’m Vinicius and I work for iBanFirst, an FX services provider. Our clients can do currency conversions in our platform. One of our hypothesis is that, when they’re in the conversions page, they change tabs to compare it with other FX providers (our competitors). We would like to calculate how many clients switch tabs and come back when they are in the conversion screen. Do you know if this is possible with the Tab feature? Thanks a lot!
(I’m brand new to full story so sorry if this is covered somewhere else. Please point me to the right place if it is.)We’re tracking some intermittent issues. I’d like to capture when our users get an error page, and group it by which page they were on when they got the error.Metrics over time would be helpful too. At a minimum I’d like to see data for daily, weekly, and monthly views (users accessing this feature are getting errors x amount of times per day/week/month). Even better if I can do a plot over time of day and day of week. We may be able to isolate usage trends, load issues, or conflicts with batch jobs if I can get better granularity.I really nice to have is if I can organize these errors by the console error that is returned with the error dialog box. Then we would know that we are grouping apples with apples. Thanks for any help!
I’ve been trying to see how often users are looking at a certain feature. I set the metric to Events and filter for a certain segment. I get a higher number when I set the event to “visited page is *feature page*” rather than when the event is “clicked text is *feature*”. Why is there a difference in numbers?
Hi,I had created several funnels for my conversion tracking. However, when I started a dashboard, I don’t see any where to use my existing funnels. (I have to recreate them aka copy/paste.) Is there away to leverage existing funnels on dashboards? Thanks community! Robbie
Hi!I would like to know how many of my users are leaving my website because the loading time was too long. Do you have any idea of how I can track this? ie the number of session that ends on a loading page? It’s not exactly a loading page, is have the loading spin on any page / waiting for a request to be finished. Thank you!
Now that we can see when users interact with multiple tabs during their session, I wonder how we might be able to know on average how many they have open. I have seen some consistent-ish behavior where users have their Cart on one tab and product details page in many others. Knowing if this behavior is consistent across a broad audience would inform us in the future if we should provide an alternative to open certain documents or pages in a new tab.
Hello!I’m new to Fullstory, and I’m trying to create a dashboard to include a card for average bounce rate.I’m not sure if I’m setting the card up correctly, but I’m trying to set it the following way Metric => Unique SessionsEvent => Visited Page => any - when Time since Session Start is less than 5 secondsdivided by Metric => Unique SessionsEvent => Any activity Does this look right? It seems like we can get this information through Segments, but I’m trying to create a card for it. I thought about using Time on Page, instead of Time since Session Start, but I’m interested in capturing people leaving after initializing a session, rather than leaving after visiting any page. Thanks in advance!
Hi, I’m trying to use metrics as follows but am getting stuck. On my app, I have Users that belong to Organizations, and within those Organizations there are Projects.Users take actions in the app, which we send to Full Story as Custom Events using the API. And it’s easy to find things like how many times Event X happened, segmented by Organization. That’s all good.On the other side, I want to be able to divide the number of times Event X happened, by the number of Projects in that User’s Organization. Because my customer Organizations have varying numbers of projects and I want to “normalize” their Event X activity based on how many Projects they have.I tried sending up the count of Projects as a trait of the user - User.organizationProjectCount. I can see this coming through on the user’s profile correctly. However, when trying to divide these things in the metrics, it only looks like I can divide a count of Events by another count of Events. I found where I can “filter” the events dow
Hello,I have an element on a webpage that is below the fold, depending on the monitor and device you’re viewing the webpage.I’m trying to calculate the number of users who did not view said element. The formula I came up with is( Watched Element => Element => Visibility Not in Viewport ) / ( Watched Element => Element )My interpretation of this is, get the number of users who did not view the element while on the webpage, divided by number of watched element impressions?Does this make sense? Thanks in advance!
Is there a way to search for users who make more than one selection on the same dropdown? We have a dropdown where additional information appears after a selection is made. IN session replay, I do see that some users change their selection at least once after viewing the additional information. I’d like to count:How many people do change their selection? How many times do individual people change their selection?
Hi, I am new to Full Story and somewhat familiar with other similar analytics platforms. I am struggling to get a list of all page views by user for a period of time (last 6 months). Does anyone know how I can do this? This is usually pretty straightforward, but I can’t seem to figure it out. This could be an issue specific to my setup but I am out of ideas.
Hey y’all, I have two questions related to user filtering and segmentation. My client currently is running cohort based experiments and wants to sandbox dashboards to those cohorts. Each cohort has a unique user base and we do not want users from previous experiments to be tracked. What we’ve been doing to date is going into each card in the dashboard and filtering out for two groups: The internal team The previous cohortsThe issue is that it’s not scalable because there are up to 20 cards on each dashboard and there could be hundreds of users that need to be filtered out. Does anyone know of a more scalable solution here? Or even a way to make a global change or even some more technical solution that could solve?
Hello everyone,To create a cart abandonment rate metrics, I would like to do a formula with more than one operator : 1 - (Users completing an order / Users adding a product to cart)Is there a way to add more than one operator to create these kind of metrics ?Thanks a lot,Nicolas
I’m trying to build out funnels for some key clients that are lead-gen focused. I have the “Form Submission” funnel, which is just two steps - did they get to the form, and did they submit the form. HOWEVER, I also have “Full” form funnels setup, because I want to be able to see the drop-off - how far into the contact form did they get before they gave up and exited. However, after comparing the two funnels, I’m seeing some discrepancies which seem to stem from two issues, both tied to the linear requirement of funnels:Users who have autofill turned on, when that autofill doesn’t have information for all of my fields. For instance, if the fields are First Name, Last Name, Professional Title, and then Email. First Name, Last Name, and Email get updated by the autofill, and then they manually update Professional Title. However, this means they went out of order, and it looks like they dropped off after Last Name (because Email was updated next, instead of Professional Title). This is al
Hi Folks,Been busy building dashboards over the last month or so (it’s a lot of fun). I’ve gotten a bunch of ideas from the following articles, and also from the Dashboards for Product Managers webinar:Product Analytics DashboardMobile AppsMarketing DashboardCustomer EngagementI’m curious to know what else are you all tracking? What Dashboards have you built, and why? And any cool cards or metrics that you would care to share, I’m open to more thoughts and ideas
We have a search suggestion that is visible when you start typing on our search bar...we want to know how many people visit a particular page right after clicking a suggested term. We are thinking some suggestion terms are taking customers to the wrong page. I tried doing funnels but as you may expect other activities happen in-between the actions I want….basically the same for segments so not sure what else to try
I have this funnel with three steps and I was wondering if I’m maybe approaching this the wrong way. But I wanted to basically make sure a custom event is NOT included in the funnel. On the image below you only see the first two steps...there is one more BUT, is there a way to said:Custom Event → Is not → no_resultsOr am I approaching this the wrong way? The no_results page will have a URL that starts with /c/ and the no_results page will also have the named element ‘search within’ which is why I’d like to exclude clicks on that element from the no_result page. Also the no_result page is not label as a ‘Page’ in FS since I don’t have a good way to do that, the URL is not unique, so we’re using the API event instead. Otherwise I could probably do another filter to avoid referrer URL is ‘No results page’ but...can’t do that, lol
