I’m trying to build a segments to capture part of a two-step login flow. New customers must complete both steps, returning customers need only complete step 1.I built a segment intended to isolate the returning customers. In the segment, I included events from step 1, but excluded events from step 2 which only new customers would generate.Watching the sessions, new customers are consistently being included in my segment, even though they generate events that I have excluded. Would be grateful for any suggestions as to what is going on.I did wonder - when I exclude multiple events - does FullStory exclude only sessions where all of the excluded events are triggered? Or does it exclude sessions where any one of the excluded events is triggered?TY

The Event Filters stop tracking data, after the third week in a month. Our alternative is to use the various APIs to track views, and clicks on an Ad.I am trying to figure out which option would be the most suitable to conduct this. Hello community, In order to analyze the behavior of visitors that : 1) Entry via a product page url 2) Exit in the same url, I would like to create a segment from Journey.Therefore, I create a Journey > Start with > “Viewed Page” is “Product Pages”. Then I select my first Step and the Exits section and go to “View as” > SegmentJourney from Product Page : 516K sessionsHowever, the segment is then created with only 1 step (Visits) without the second step : exit. Eventhough I add a refinement “when the Exit Page is true”, I found myself with more sessions (651K) than within Journey (402K), probably because the refinement is not as restrictive as Journey.The refinement also counts visitors that visits different Product Pages and exit on another url, whereas Journey seems to be restricted on an url basis.Segment from Journey : 918K sessionsSegment from Journey with refinement : 651K sessions Is there any workaround to create the segment with the same number of users & sessions
We have Fullstory fetching data from our website (external) and from our SAAS based solution (application). What are the Best Practices for managing these two different environments? Currently I’m managing this by using the Segments but it will be best to have two different organizations, business units, etc. That because it involves different personas viewing this information.Thanks!

I’m trying to build out funnels for some key clients that are lead-gen focused. I have the “Form Submission” funnel, which is just two steps - did they get to the form, and did they submit the form. HOWEVER, I also have “Full” form funnels setup, because I want to be able to see the drop-off - how far into the contact form did they get before they gave up and exited. However, after comparing the two funnels, I’m seeing some discrepancies which seem to stem from two issues, both tied to the linear requirement of funnels:Users who have autofill turned on, when that autofill doesn’t have information for all of my fields. For instance, if the fields are First Name, Last Name, Professional Title, and then Email. First Name, Last Name, and Email get updated by the autofill, and then they manually update Professional Title. Anyone able to get fullstory working with production electron? I had it working great when vite was serving up artifacts for the development-built electron app, but once I tried collecting metrics from the production app, which uses files instead of vite-hosted artifacts, everything in full story was masked. Just a big user icon. I tried enabling “Capture local resources” but that did not work.Anyone know if this is possible? I’m assessing multiple solutions for analytics capture in an electron app and have a few days left on my fullstory free trial.
We have a search suggestion that is visible when you start typing on our search bar...we want to know how many people visit a particular page right after clicking a suggested term. We are thinking some suggestion terms are taking customers to the wrong page. I tried doing funnels but as you may expect other activities happen in-between the actions I want….basically the same for segments so not sure what else to try

LOVE the heatmap feature. However, most of our clients’ pages have a menu in their top nav. I *do* want to be able to see how many people click on the “Menu Open” button/option in the heatmap. However, I *do not* want the preview to show the menu opened - I want to be able to see the homepage itself. Any idea how to tell the preview-grabber NOT to open the menu?I’ve seen the other conversation about setting up a segment that excludes anyone who clicks the menu, but I want to include those clicks, I just don’t want to see the menu opened.
I need to be able to to display WAU/MAU, and I know FS automatically visualizes this in the Segments view, but how would I pull this into a dashboard?
I have a dimensionality card that is listing all the keywords customers searched that returned a no-results page...since I can only see 5 at that time (maybe give me the option to see all ;) I wonder how can I export that data to an excel file so I can classify, filter, etc. The card is using a custom event, but the ‘Group by’ is using ‘URL Query - where the parameter is q’ I was thinking to create a segment with those metrics since I can see you can export data from a segment, but I don’t see how I could replicate my metrics in a segment 🤔

One of the features of the app I’m working on allows users to send/share a link to a non-user and have them complete a recommendation. Currently, the links are unique to the user that sent them. However, we need to be able to track the total number of completed recommendations and track the user flows, and not have FullStory track 1 user’s link. Is using the “matches” convention with ** the best way to accomplish this in order to track all sessions that get to a particular page?
